CITY MARKET: STILL SAVANNAH’S “HOLIDAY EVENT CENTRAL.”

holiday

After centuries as one of Savannah’s best-known gathering places, City Market now serves as a top celebration site. This is where families make timeless Holiday traditions and thousands of “Happy New Year” kisses are shared. This four- block, open-air market has been delighting visitors since the 1700s with shopping, dining and artworks in restored warehouses. Savannah City Market is the perfect place to celebrate the holidays in Savannah, especially if you want to eat, drink and be merry — in one place. With nearly 50 vendors, there is something for everyone in our fun downtown Savannah spot.

For the holidays, the businesses take it up a notch with beautiful decor and festive events to celebrate the 2021 holiday season. Even if you miss one of the events this year, stop by any time to hear live music in the courtyard or shop for everyone on your list at the galleries and shops.

City Market Holiday Open House – December 3, 2021, 6-9 p.m.

Savannah’s beautiful spirit becomes even more exquisite during the holiday season, and City Market is no exception. Stroll in the flickering light of 500+ luminaria lining our two-block courtyard, serenaded by Christmas melodies. Drop in for treats in City Market shops and watch for a glimpse of Father Christmas.

City Market Christmas For Kids Celebration – December 4, 2021, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Make ornaments! Decorate cookies! Get Grinched (with hair and makeup)! Meet Father Christmas and take a picture in the Cinderella carriage tour. All of this, plus face painting, choir music and more add up to a day of fun the whole family can truly enjoy.

City Market New Year’s Eve – December 31, 2021, 7 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Every New Year’s Eve, City Market becomes Savannah’s “celebration central” – and this year promises to be better than ever. Live outdoor music continues throughout the evening and restaurants are open to help you celebrate. Drop in and stroll through the market all evening long. (Restaurants, of course, require New Year’s Eve reservations.) Join us to kick off your best New Year yet.

PLEASE NOTE, EVENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
